Aftonsol
A men’s sweater in traditional and timeless design. Our model is knitted in two natural colors with a nice detail: a contrasting color on the inside of the neckline. If you choose other colors you get a completely different expression! Inspiration for the pattern borders comes from an older Swedish men’s sweater, “Man sweater from Bjuråker” which is part of the documentation of old Swedish knitting patterns made by Britt-Marie Christoffersson - an important work that helped to preserve old patterns and knitting traditions.
Wenche Roald (@wroald) designs large and small garments, often in stranded colorwork, and strikes a blow for the use of traditional patterns. The desire to impart and maintain knitting knowledge and knitting tradition is an important driving force behind her work. Arv means Heritage in English.
This pattern is part of the collection Järbo Arv which consists of three booklets with a range of beautiful patterns from well known Nordic designers. Check out all of the patterns in the booklet link above!
