Aggravation, along with many others, is a variation on the game pachisi that dates back to medieval India. Whilst there are a few differences from the original game, Aggravation follows the same principal: each player travels around the board to reach home. Unlike pachisi, it allows for the introduction of extra players, giving you more options – much like this simple but effective shawl. The shawl’s octagonal shape mimics the shape of the game board, and the points and beading imitate the home and safe sections in the game.

With two size options to choose from you can pick whether you want to work in the round and travel round the octagonal full board, or work flat with the half board and go for a more traditional shawl shape.
