Notes
• This pattern is written in US crochet terms.
• Work in continuous rounds unless specified differently.
• The body and head is 1 piece and is worked from the bottom up.
• Be sure to stuff as you go.
• I use Charity dk acrylic and lollipop twinkle dk yarn in this pattern but you can substitute it for any fibre (cotton, acrylic or a blend) or brand of yarn with the same weight you like.
• If making this toy for a baby or a small child please avoid beads or safety eyes that could be a choking hazard- crochet, embroider or needle felt the eyes instead.
• Pin all the pieces together before you sew them into place so that you can be sure that Agni is balanced and can stand on his own.
• I use the yarn over single crochet technique but you can use the yarn under technique if you prefer. It does create tighter neater stitches-note that your toy will be a bit smaller should you choose the yarn under technique due to the stitches being tighter.
• Normally when I refer to inc or dec sts it is sc inc or sc dec-unless specified differently like: “hdc inc or dc inc”- 2 Hdc or dc sts in 1 st. Same principle applies with decreasing “Hdc dec or dc dec”- 2hdc tog or 2dc tog.
• (x)Inc = (x) amount of increases in a sequence. For example 6inc - 6 times 2 sc sts in the same st.
• The invisible decrease is my default method for decreasing in the round – you can achieve this by only decreasing in the front loops. But when working in rows (like the belly) use the regular dec sts
