Materials required:
Small map panel –
0.75 mm crochet hook, No 80 crochet cotton or No 70 tatting thread - 2 x 5g ball (195 yards/180 metres.
Large mat – 1.50 mm crochet hook, No 10 crochet cotton – approx 325 yards/300 metres.

Approximate finished sizes
Small map panel –
with top header 6½-inches/16.5 cm by 8¼-inches/21 cm, without top header 6½-inches/16.5 cm by 6¾-inches/17 cm
Large mat – with top header 13-inches/32.5 cm by 17-inches/42.5 cm, without top header 13-inches/32.5 cm by 14½-inches/36.25 cm

Gauge –
Small map panel –
18 tr=1-inch/2.5 cm and 9 rows = 1-inch/2.5 cm
Large mat - 10 tr = 1 inch/2.5 cm and 4 rows = 1-inch/2.5 cm

BOTH written instructions and charts are given in the pattern, but the main panel is only given in the form of a filet chart.

Chart for header in English is also included should you wish to title this Scotland rather than Alba. An extra chart is also included if you wish to include the whole of the Shetland Isles

3rd in a set of 4, the larger mat will also make a good cushion cover
