This shawl was inspired by my best friend, Alejandra, and our home, Argentina.
We’ve known each other for more years than we can count, and we knit, laugh and make plans together. Alejandra is the dyer behind the yarn that I used (Kani), a blend of Angora and Merino, a very typical Argentine yarn blend.
This shawl is crescent shaped, and it features a mosaic band in the edge, that also resembles one of Argentine’s most iconic Textiles: The Guarda Pampa. It was my first experimentation with Mosaic, and I wanted to make something not so striking, with low contrast and calming.

We hope to inspire you with this ode to our country’s rustic charm.
