This pattern was formerly known as TTL Mystery Shawl 2014

Algiers is a shallow triangle. I love this shape for its ease of wear. Since the point is not nearly as deep or pronounced as on a traditional triangle it can be tossed casually around the neck much like a scarf. With its triangular shape it still works well worn across the back as a shawl to show off the lovely patterning. For this design I recommend a solid, semi-solid, or gradient yarn. Be sure to allow enough yarn. My sample took about 500 yards of fingering weight yarn.

If you choose to use a different weight yarn, be aware that you many not be able to get a fabric that works at the called for gauge, and if you do not get gauge, your shawl will not match the size given. Different weight yarns, even when worked at the same gauge, will impact the yardage required.
