Knitting pattern for a summery blouse with a lace pattern of diagonal stripes meeting at the middle of front and back parts in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL.

Structure:
The blouse is worked in one piece bottom up back and forth in rows in lace pattern. The button band is worked in stockinette stitch directly onto the body from the beginning onwards. After the desired body length is reached, the front parts and the back part are finished separately. Both front parts are worked with decreases to shape the V neck of the blouse. Therefore, the stitches of the button band are cast off and the decreases are worked according to the lace pattern for a neat finish.
As soon as all parts are finished, the stitches are cast off and the shoulder seams are closed with the mattress stitch. Alternatively, you can use the Three-Needle- Bind-Off-Technique to avoid seaming in the end.
The fit of the blouse is slightly loose with no ease or a little positive ease of up to 5 cm. The shoulders are a little bit dropped, the length is short so that you can wear it perfectly with high waisted trousers and skirts in summer.
The lace pattern is easy to memorize and creates a stunning, breezy look.
Notes:
Edge stitch (first st of a r) is slipped knitwise in rsr and purlwise in wsr. The last st of a r is knitted in rsr and purled in wsr. The edge sts are included into the total number of sts and are displayed in the knitting charts too.
The blouse is worked with 1 strand of yarn.
Stockinette Stitch: k all sts in rsr, p all sts in wsr (except the edge sts!)
Lace Pattern: Follow the knitting charts for your preferred size.
Decreases: To shape the V neck of the blouse, decreases are worked after casting off a few sts of the button band. To shape the right front, make 1 skpo in every rsr immediately after the edge st (slip 1 st knitwise, k1, pull the slipped st over the st worked). To shape the left front, k2tog in every rsr before the last st.
In wsr, p all sts except the yarn overs – they are knitted to make a bigger hole (as well as the button holes!) – and except the first edge st (please view the notes concerning the edge st above).
