Madelinetosh Tosh Sport is the name of the yarn from which this stole was knit. That yarn was not one of the options under Yarn choices. Madelinetosh is a lovely yarn and knit up beautifully, but any soft sport weight yarn can be used.

This stockinet stole is worked from bottom to top with a center lace V that expands as you knit. Also slanted parallel lace lines angle up and off the sides. A garter edge is knit first on the bottom. Three edge stitches of garter travel up the short edges of the shawl; then a top garter edge matches the bottom.

The lace pattern is presented as a grouping of charts, with a total of 281 stitches and 122 rows. The first 22 rows of the lace pattern are written out for any of you who do not have experience reading charts. After several rows the pattern are worked, the lace pattern of the stole becomes clear. At that point stitch markers can be dispensed with.

Dimensions of the stole:
17.5” (44.5cm) by 69” (175cm)
