Imagine an 18th century healer grinding away spices, herbs and seeds with her mortar and pestle in the surgery of her cold castle and it is easy to visualize her also wearing this casual and cosy oversized cowl and wristlets/fingerless mitts. The Apothecary set is not only functional but fashionable for the 18th century and today. The witch, Geillis, or the healer, Claire, would find this set perfect for her particular needs.

Cowl: designed to be oversized and worn around the neck and shoulders with the small collar folded down (with an added clan badge for a more period look) or folded over at the neck a couple times and worn more snug. The piece knit holding two strands of yarn and is lightly felted to give the yak and merino blend yarn a chance to soften even more than it is naturally.

NOTE: when you purchase this pattern you also get the matching fingerless mitts/wristlets pattern
