About Ari Kids Sweater
This Ari sweater is knit seamlessly in the round using luxurious Malabrigo Noventa making it a quick and satisfying project with a buttery-soft finish. Featuring a classic raglan yoke and a bold cable running down each sleeve, this design combines timeless structure with a playful twist. The slightly oversized fit adds comfort and flexibility, perfect for layering through cooler seasons. Designed with ease in mind, this sweater is both practical for everyday wear and special enough for handmade gifts.
Size
Finished Measurements
Child sizes 2 (4, 6, 8) 10 (12, 14, 16) years
• Chest: 24 (26, 28, 29.25) 31.5 (34, 35, 36) inches
• Upper arm: 9.25 (10, 10.5, 11.25) 11.5 (11.5, 12, 12.25) inches
To choose size, measure chest and add 2-3 inches of positive ease for a standard fit or 4-5 inches for oversize fit. Choose the closest finished bust measurement.
Knitting Needles
• Size US 10/6mm DPN’s and 16” & 24” circular needles. These will be used for cuffs, hem, and neck ribbing. If using magic loop, a longer circular needle will work and eliminate need for DPN’s.
• US 11/8mm circular needles 16”, 24”or 30” and DPN’s. Body and sleeves are knitted in this size needle. The shorter circular needle work great when starting the yoke before moving on to longer needles as stitches increase. DPN are needed for knitting sleeves in the round. If using magic loop, you don’t need DPN’s.
