NOTES

  1. Read the pattern carefully before starting and circle the numbers that apply to your size.
  2. This pattern is worked from the bottom (brim) up.
  3. I recommend using stitch markers to mark the beginning st/sp of each round of the beanie. Remember to move the stitch marker as you progress.
  4. The asterisk * indicates pattern repeats. You will need to repeat all the instructions between the asterisks.
  5. This pattern is a multiple of 2 sts, but I suggest that when modifying the size of your beanie, increase or decrease your sts by 4. This is just so your decreases (crown of the beanie) will have even numbers of sts.
  6. If you want your beanie to be more fitted or slouchier, add/deduct a few rounds to the body of the beanie before continuing with the decreases or shaping of the crown.
  7. You can also use any yarn weight in making this beanie making sure that you use the corresponding hook size that is on the yarn label.
  8. Not all heads conform to sizes by age; please measure for a more accurate fit. Please refer to the recommended SIZES AND FINISHED DIMENSIONS table.
