This shawl was designed with Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and wild nature, as inspiration. She was known as the protector of young women and women in childbirth. She is often shown with a bow and arrow or a stag and is associated with the moon.

I love to buy gorgeous hand-dyed yarn and I like to use every yard possible to make the most of that beautiful yarn. The instructions for this shawl keep that in mind and can be adapted for different amounts of yarn.
