This is a very simple one skein project, ideal for those moments when we don’t want to think too much, and just sit down and knit in a meditative state, to calm the mind with a repetitive movement.

Since the construction is undemanding, you may use any kind of yarn, from a fingering weight to worsted. I recommend lighter yarns but any will do. This will only affect the amount of material needed: if using a fingering weight one skein will be enough, for a broader one you will need more to achieve the desired size and change the needle size accordingly. It’s perfect for that special skein we have, variegated or with a little shimmer, that one we bought because we fell in love, but didn’t know what to make with it.

One skein of cotton and viscose blend (100 grs) colorway “Cielo” by Fibras Urbanas (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
3.5 mm needle

Este proyecto es muy sencillo, ideal para esos momentos donde no queremos pensar demasiado y sólo sentarnos a tejer y calmar la mente con lo repetitivo del movimiento.

Como la construcción es tan sencilla, podés usar cualquier tipo de hilado que quieras, desde grosor fingering hasta worsted. Lo que variará será la cantidad de material que uses: si es finito te alcanzará con una madeja, si es más gruesa necesitarás más para alcanzar el mismo tamaño, y por supuesto tendrás que cambiar el tamaño de la aguja. Es perfecto para lucir esa lanita especial, variegada o con alguna textura o brillito, esa madeja que compramos en algún momento porque nos gustaba pero no sabíamos bien en qué usarla.

Azuleta es el sobrenombre de mi hija, y chal lo hice especialmente a pedido de ella con el hilado tan hermoso que le regaló mi amiga Sonia.
