Gull Wings lace decorates this adorable knit from the top down baby cardigan and coordinating bonnet hat. The yarn used is discontinued, but Magic Garden Buttons or another DK weight blend would work well. Featured project was made with King Cole Smooth, a DK weight acrylic. Yardage requirements include enough yarn for the matching bonnet.

Change the yarn and needle size and make the cardigan bigger or smaller, as shown with the green sample, made with Briggs & Little Heritage, an aran weight wool: Size 2T on US 8 needles. Change the colors and add a contrast, and you’ve got another look.

Also needed:

  • 4mm Size F crochet hook
  • Four 1/2” buttons
