Baby Hippo is knit in the round, using Magic Loop or double pointed needles. The legs, body, arms and head are all knit on as you work along. Baby Hippo is approx. 10” (sitting) and is created using approx. 300 yds. of #3-light wt. (DK wt.) yarn (Bernat Softee Baby-Flannel). This darling hippo sits freely with a happy smile!
NOTE: #4-Worsted Wt. (Aran/10-ply) yarn may be substituted, but a larger finished item will result.
• Size 3 (3.25mm) 32” Circular Knitting Needles (if using Magic Loop) or Double Pointed Needles
• Safety Eyes: 15mm or embroidery thread/yarn
• 4 Plastic Canvas Circles (optional-for feet bottoms-
could be cut from rectangle piece)
