Kevin the bird is one of the most loveable and quirky characters from Pixar’s animated film, UP. But Kevin is much too tall and gangly to crochet; a 9-foot tall snipe won’t fit trough the door! So why not make one of her babies? They’re fluffy, cute, and small enough to cuddle with. Watch out, they like to swallow tennis balls.

To make this pattern, you will need:
• Size G hook (4 mm) crochet hook
• Worsted weight yarn in blue, light blue, orange, pink, purple, yellow, gray (brand does not matter)
• Fiberfill or stuffing
• Needle with a large eye
• Sewing thread and sewing needle
• Felt in light blue, white, turquoise, purple
• Fabric or tacky glue
• Pipe-cleaners

Other materials:
• Black and orange fabric paint
• Wire pet brush

This pattern is at an intermediate level. You need to know how to single crochet in the round, slip stitch, double crochet, half-double crochet, and change colors. Eight pages worth of detailed instruction in English and over 20 color photos of the finished product and the work-in-progress will help guide you along. Finished product measures about 8” tall.
