Little girls just love to party! This gorgeous cardigan is the perfect partner for a special summer dress. With its simple stranded yoke and pops of colour at the hem and sleeve caps, Baby Triangles will keep style-conscious babes right on trend this season.

Knit as one piece from the top down, the pattern is completely seamless. Integrated button bands and sleeve caps mean there’s hardly any finishing. It knits up so quickly, you’ll be amazed! The lovely details, including a two-colour long tail cast on (fully explained in pattern), are manageable for adventurous beginner or intermediate knitters.

This is the perfect project for that special skein of DK-weight yarn in your stash. Grab a little bit of contrast yarn for the yoke and get going!

You will need DK or light worsted weight yarn in the following quantities: MC: 160 (190, 220, 260, 300) yards; CC: 20 (30, 30, 40, 40) yards.

Baby Triangles is designed to fit with 1”-1.25” positive ease at the chest. Note that the garment falls open from the chest down, to show off that pretty dress underneath. This allows some flexibility on sizing.

The pattern specifies a gauge of 18 sts per inch with a DK weight yarn on US 6 needles. If you’re having trouble getting gauge, try using a DK weight yarn on US 7s, or a light worsted weight yarn on US 6s.
