The pattern is crocheted in a continuous spiral and requires knowledge of the following stitches (including increases and decreases): chain, slip stitch, and single crochet.

Item size will depend on the weight of yarn used. The samples were crocheted using worsted weight(#4) cotton and wool yarn. Samples are 17 1/2 inches tall and 14 inches wide from one long tail fiber to another long tail fiber diagonally opposite.
