Double layers for double warmth! Lining for the ear flaps and head band make this stocking cap super warm. The hat is knitted in the round without seams. The flaps are knitted first and then joined to the first round of knitting for the cap. The second layer is joined to the main body from the inside and attached at the edges by single crochet. Keeps you toasty on even the chilliest days!

Pattern is written for adult unisex size.
Knitted of worsted weight yarn, with 5 1/2 stitiches to the inch in stockinette.

You’ll need about 150 yards of wool to complete this hat, with small amounts of other colors for crochet edging and braids.
