Thanks for looking at my pattern!

Items Needed

  • 4 double pointed knitting needles size 2 (2.75mm)
  • crochet hook size 2
  • various beads, sewing needle, thread (optional)
  • 80% wool / 20% nylon sock yarn - ANY color you like. I chose blue and green because it was made as a gift and those are her favorite colors
  • stitch marker
  • Premium Polyester Fiber Fill
  • tapestry needle

This beaded turtle was made as a gift. I use a technique that I love where you knit in the round with double pointed needles to make a tube. The feel of the yarn along with the movement of the multiple needles makes me feel happy.

The body is made up of tubes; then there is the bottom of the turtle and then the shell. The shell is the only part that is crocheted and the rest of the components are knitted.

I added beading to the pattern for decorative purposes. You can decide whether to skip the beads, if you desire.
