Here’s a small, fun clutch, or the perfect catch-all for your purse. Made to look like a gummy candy and ideally lined with a fabric just as delightful. This knits up quickly despite the color-work and makes an easy, show stopping gift. The stripe pattern on the back is simple but because of the crossing contrast stripes looks more impressive. Because the contrasting stripes are in a concentrated area there’s no need to carry the contrasting color back and forth with you, which helps the back knit up even faster. Lining the bag and adding a zipper creates a finished look but can be done by even a beginner sewer and either by hand or machine. It will be ready to store your favorite treats in no time!

Sample bag was knit with Lion Brand Superwash merino in Sky Blue and Midnight Blue for the blues. My neon pink is Lana Gatto Misina. Though this is a great stash buster since it uses small amounts of several yarns.

For a more even bag I would suggest using a slightly bigger needle for the color work front, as it tends to be tighter than the striped back portion.

I would also suggest blocking this bag before you sew in the fabric lining in case there is any shrinking.
