The shawl features an original bold graphic pattern inspired by Peruvian textiles, created specially for this design.

The shawl is knitted from bottom up in mosaic garter stitch. Mosaic knitting is an easy way to create striking colourwork. Mosaic knitting is perfect for beginners who are attempting colourwork for the first time. If you’ve worked stripes in two colours, one colour at time, you can work mosaic knitting. Directions are given how to work mosaic from the chart. The pattern is fully charted.

The shawl can be worked in one main colour, or up to five different main colours for the background and one contrasting colour for patterning. The Main Colour can be solid, speckled or slightly variegated, as long there is good contrast with the Contrasting Colour.

The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.

More shawls in different colours can be seen HERE.
