Fairisle mug warmer with blue birds!

This mug warmer is knit with fingering weight yarn from Jamieson’s of Shetland spindrift yarn with 3mm needles. The three colours used are: Eggshell (768), Teviot (136), and Port Wine (293). However there are endless colour possibilities!

Two buttons (of any size) are needed to fasten the warmer around a mug. Also a crochet hook is used to crochet chain a small loop so that it can be attached to loop around the buttons.

The instructions are for one size with completed measurements of 10.5” (27cm) by 3.25” (8cm). If a smaller size is desired depending on the mug being knitted for then remove some columns (stiches) from the fairisle chart from both sides or knit in a tighter gauge.

This is a perfect way to use leftover yarn!
