This could be made as oversized jewellery, as an ornament or as a 3D front to a greetings card. If you’d like a more discreet and delicate brooch, try using very thin yarn and needles to create a miniature version.

Stitches used: k2tog, p2tog, k3tog, kfb, sl1p

You will need:

· Wool in lilac, light green and dark green: very small amounts of each. I used Double Knit (8-6 ply, “light worsted”.) Tension: 10cm x 10cm square is 24 stitches across and 32 rows.

· Knitting needles. I used UK size 11 (3.0mm, US size 2.5)

· Tapestry needle

· Tiny amount of stuffing

· Small piece of cardboard

· Safety-pin
