Why are we such fools for medieval-looking clothing? And therefore for this sock? Is it the soft regularity of the bobble and ridge pattern? The classy discretion of the manageable few (40 per sock) beads run in between the garter ridges? That we’ve seen socks like this (albeit in white and gold) for sale in Tuscany? Who cares? It just looks great, and it’s sober and whimsical at once. Even if you’re not keen on bobbles, you can suffer through the few required here. It’s very young, this design, and happy. It could make you that way too.
