Are you ready to try your hand at needle felting?

Here is another easy and fun-to-knit project by my dear friend, Jeneen. This is an innovative bolster pillow design, incorporating needle felted embellishments. If you are intrigued by needle felting, or if you are looking for a completely unique item to knit, which will stretch your creativity, this is the perfect project for you.

Enjoy needle felting this fabulous leaf design using the template included and Knit Picks (or any other brand) roving, or create a design of your own. Step-by-step photos and instructions of the needle felting process are included in the pattern.

The knitted piece measures 21” x 6 3/4”.
The sheer ribbon used in this sample is 3/4” wide. It adds a tiny bit of sparkle and ties very tightly,
creating beautiful rosettes on each end of the bolster pillow.
You will need to purchase needle felting needles from your favorite LYS.
This is the link to the pattern on Knit Picks.

Note: This sample was made with Knit Picks yarn and roving, however any self-striping or solid worsted weight yarn with wool content would be appropriate for this project.

Needle felting is so much fun, you’ll be “stuck” on it before long! Enjoy!
