It’s a headband. A scarf. Necklace. Belt. Bracelet. Anklet. You name it!

3 i-cords each with their separate ball of yarn are knit on the same needle and braided while they are knit, by cabling. Pattern describes this without a cable needle, but if you are freaked out by your stitches hanging off your needle for a second you can use a cable needle just as easily.

A small amount of crochet knowledge (chaining) is needed if you want ties for your braid.

You can knit it as long as you want, at any gauge you want, and you can even adjust the width by changing the amount of stitches each i-cord has.
