Triangular shawl that showcased a cable and lace edging design.

The shawl has 2 versions. Instructions for both versions are included.

Lace stitches worked on RS only, simply work as seen on WS rows.

Measurements

  • Version 1: 70” wide x 28” tall / 178 cm wide x 71 cm tall. (can be modified easily.)
  • Version 2: 75” wide x 34” tall / 191 cm wide / 86.5 cm tall.

Yarn

  • Fingering Weight, Cloudborn Merino Superwash Sock Twist
  • Version 1: color Magenta, 460 yards / 420 meters
  • Version 2: MC yarn - color Coral, 110 yards / 100 meters, CC yarn - color Grey Heather, 450 yards / 412 meters

Needles US #6 / 4.0 mm 32” / 80 cm or longer circular needle, or change needle to obtain gauge.

Gauge 17 sts x 32 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.

Construction

  • Triangular shawl worked from top edge down.
  • Four stitches increased on every right side row, except for the setup rows.
  • Work stockinette stitch for main body, followed by cable and lace edging.
  • Continue four stitches increases on every RS row of cable and lace edging chart.
  • Size can be modified as instructed in pattern.
