Breaking Big is a scarf that can be buttoned in many different ways: as a double-wrapped cowl, single wrapped cowl, a small poncho, a capelet, etc. It’s a big chunky knitted warm thing and an easy, fun, quick knit! Perfect knitting for binge-watching Breaking Bad, or whatever your viewing fix of the moment is, I must say.

Instructions are given to assist in substituting yarn/gauge/size of finished scarf/cowl.

Finished Size: approx 12” x 50”
Gauge: 8 stitches x 20 rows = 4”/10cm in garter stitch on size 15 needles

180yds Super Bulky Yarn (2 HANKS Malabrigo Rasta in SOLIS)
Needle size: US 15/10mm
3 Large buttons (I used 1.5” diameter wood buttons)
Large-eye yarn needle for weaving ends
Locking Stitch Marker or Safety Pin
