This outfit is designed to fit my Scraps Chaps, Savannah Chaps, and Backyard Bandits toys. The smaller size will also fit my Wood-Elf doll. Both sizes are knit from the same pattern.

Pattern is advanced beginner to intermediate level. Skills required include stockinette and ribbed stitches, k2tog, ssk, m1 and fkb increases, yo buttonholes, binding off, and mattress stitch. All pieces are knit flat and then seamed and assembled.

Yarn
Sweater, striped: 60 m (65 yards) of sport or worsted weight yarn in main colour (MC), 15 m (17 yards) of sport or worsted weight yarn in contrasting colour (CC, optional)
Sweater, plain: 75 m (82 yards) of sport or worsted weight yarn in main colour (MC)
Shorts: 50 m (55 yards) of sport or worsted weight yarn, any colour
Kerchief: 22 m (24 yards) of fingering or DK weight yarn, any colour

Needles and Notions
Pair of 3.5 mm or 4.5 mm (US size 4 or 7) knitting needles, 4 stitch markers, scrap yarn, tapestry needle, 5 small buttons plus thread and needle to attach (for Cardigan)
