This sweet, soft blanket is made for bringing baby home. The combination of twisted stitches, lattice stitches and the mysterious pattern in the center (2 rows garter, 2 rows seed stitch), provides enough variety to keep everyone interested in completing this one.

The blanket is knit on a size 8 circular needle, using heavy worsted weight yarn. The finished size as shown, is 31” x 31”. The size can be adjusted by increasing the pattern repeats. The pattern also includes directions for 2 sizes of a baby hat.

A second blanket was made using Appalachian Organic Cotton (sportweight) on size 6 needles. This sample was proportionately smaller.
