In this pattern/ video, I show you how to make a crochet bracelet with beads. I also show you how to make a broomstick lace motif without the broomstick! You only have to use your hook + yarn for this technique, which means that working in the round is done easily.

If you download the pattern, I suggest also using the video links inside to see instructions for this technique.

The bracelet will look like picture number 3 to the left when you follow instructions, but you can play around with the width and amount of picots for different results.

To make the bracelet fit, FSC a multiple of 4. I chained 20.

Materials:

  1. You will need a 3.5 mm (US 4/E) crochet hook for the bracelet
  2. You will also need a smaller crochethook to fit through your beeds (I used a a 0.75 mm crochet hook to fit through 8 mm acrylic beads.
  3. It’s important that you use a non-split yarn for this project, or the broomstick lace motifs will split.
  4. I used Velour Lame (Aran weight yarn)
  5. Beads

Skill level: advanced beginner/ intermediate.

Happy crocheting!
