Brynhild is a cowl featuring a braided cable reminiscent of an old Norse rune. Its name is from the Saga of the Volsungs, an Icelandic saga. Its companions, Sigurd and Aslaug, are the matching hat and fingerless mitts.

Finished Size: 21” around, 8.75” tall

Yarn: Dragonfly Fibers Valkyrie, 100% Superwash Merino, 200 yards/4 oz (Sample knit in Nymeria). Sample used 150 yards.

Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or 16” circular needles, size 6 US (4.00 mm), or size to obtain gauge

Gauge: 19 stitches/26 rows per 4” in blocked stockinette, knit in the round. Gauge is not critical with this item, but will affect drape and amount of yarn used.
