The SKEINO Burano Shawl is a very elegant piece and a dream to knit. Two different yarns are knitted in Garter Stitch, one is Super Kid Mohair lace yarn and the other one is a single Silk / Merino worsted weight yarn.

This is an easy project without cutting the yarns for yarn changes, all are using the same circular needle # 10, 40 inches long.

The transparency of the knitting is gorgeous and the very lightweight shawl makes it beautiful and impressive. We were inspired to create this piece after we met one of the wonderful ladies from Burano Italy that make this beautiful work of art. The history for this type of lace making goes back several hundred years and the ladies are trained over several years to achieve this high degree of talent.
