Butterfly Wall Hanging
The Butterfly Wall Hanging is a pattern with two options, creating a fully crocheted piece, or creating a crocheted panel with the design cross stitched on top. This listing includes instructions to do both versions.
These patterns include written instructions on how to set up the colorwork panel, a chart to follow for the tapestry crochet, how to create the panel for the cross stitched version, how to cross stitch the design, and how to mount and finish the piece.
This project is written so that even beginner crochet and cross stitchers can complete this project.
The finished panel measures 14“ wide x 11” tall, not including fringe and hanging dowel.
The crochet piece uses worsted weight yarn, approximately 275 yards for MC, 12 yards for C1, 20 yards for C2, 10 yards for C3, 10 yards for C4, 28 yards for C5, 10 yards for C6, and 8 yards for C7. Also needed, 4.00mm crochet hook (or size to meet gauge if desired), tapestry needle, scissors, and a dowel or small branch for hanging.
The cross stitched piece uses worsted weight yarn, approximately 350 yards for MC, and less than 5 yard of each color for the cross stitching. Also needed, 4.00mm crochet hook (or size to meet gauge if desired), tapestry needle, scissors, and a dowel or small branch for hanging.
