Button is a simple crocheted beret style hat, made in the round in alternate rows of HDC and puffs. The hat is finished with a feature button on the band. It’s intended for an adult size head, but it will fit a teenager size head too!

Only basic skills are required including forming magic rings, making puffs, increasing and decreasing; the tutorial gives full instructions as well as images.

My hat measures 56cm around the head, 22.5cm diameter and 10cm deep. There is some give (maybe up to 58cm), but size will also vary depending on the yarns/crochet hook you use. If you’re a competent crocheter it should be easy enough to do a bit more increasing and/or less decreasing if you need it a bit bigger! Details for all the materials I used and quantities are noted on the pattern but Ask a Question if you’d like to know more.

The PDF pattern is an instant download and once you get started I’m here to help if you need it.

Thank you for looking and happy hooking!
