For all mad about the buttons as same as me :-) This granny funny bag is great for shopping, it is big enough for all needed things. When you are wearing it, you really feel, you have something cool and unique :-)

Needed material:

  • worsted yarn /10 ply /medium / group 4
  • hook 4.5 mm (US 7)
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors
  • common black sewing thread and needle
  • bag handles length 52 cm/ 20.47 inches, you could buy these handles on etsy.com – write bag handles with wooden beads to the search

I used :
100% nonmercerized Cotton yarn - Sugar’n Cream Solids and Denim by Lily
Weight: Worsted / 10 ply (9 wpi)
Yardage: 120 yards (110 meters) in 70 grams (2.47 ounces)
Gauge (crochet tension): 13 SC – 14 rows = 4”(10 cm)

I used these colors: 10 g of Ecru 1205, 10 g of Robins egg 1215, 10 g of Mod Blue 18111, 10 g of Sage green 0084, 10 g of Hot green 1712, 200 g of Black 1108

I needed about 250 grams / approximately 420 yards of yarn totally.

Measurement of finished bag: 34 cm /13.4 inches width, 34 cm /13.4 inches height (without handles). Please remember, that the size of finished bag depends on used material and your own style of crocheting.


Level of the pattern: intermediate
