This is a great textured and fun washcloth/dishcloth pattern that you can make with any cotton or cotton blend yarn. It only takes up a small amount of yarn (60-70 yards or less), and should be pretty quick to knit.
The stitch may look intimidating, but actually it is very simple. Only knits and purls!

Yarn: Peaches & Cream Stripey in color Evening Sea, or any cotton or cotton blend Dk/light worsted weight yarn. You will need only 60-70 yards or less for this project.

Needles: Size 4 US (3.50 mm) circular or straight knitting needles.

Gauge: 4.5 stitches and 8 rows over 1 inch in stitch pattern.
The gauge actually does not matter much, unless you would like your project to be the exact same size as mine is in the sample photos.
