Treasure awaits in the tidepools. Like the shimmering ridges of a shell, intersecting angles of ribbing flow over the surface of Byssa. A curvaceous hi-lo hem in cropped or classic length rises in a graceful sweep to the gently scooped armholes and neckline.

Construction

  • This garment is worked circularly from the hem to the underarm, then front and back are split and worked flat. The bottom hem is shaped with Short Rows: German Method.
  • This pattern has two length options: a cropped length featuring a flared body shape, and a classic length featuring a more narrow body shape. Each length has separate instructions for the body of the garment; both versions share the same instructions for the armhole and neck shaping.
  • The fabric is made up of three distinct stitch patterns that are worked in panels that shift across the fabric.
  • All edges are finished with an I-cord edge. The hem can be cast on with an I-Cord Cast On, or an I-cord edge can be applied after the garment is finished.
  • At times pattern instructions are broken out by Version and/or Size. We recommend reading through the entire pattern and marking the sections that apply to your Version and Size before you begin.
