✿ DESCRIPTION ✿

This Wassily01 Boxy Japanese jacket (Free Size) is based on abstraction from Wassily Kandinsky’s abstract art. While it may look complicated, it is easier to make that expected.

The body is made of 8 simple rectangular pieces: 2 of (Front, Back, Sleeves, Pockets). The C2C graphs for these are provided in 4 separate colour graphs and written colour counts. Just make the rectangles and join! That’s just about it.

As for how you join, and what kinds of edgings or borders you would like, that is totally up to your own creativity and preference. I do provide links to how I did mine and tutorials on how they were done, should you want to use those steps.

Because the shape of the jacket is designed for fun & comfort, there is a huge margin of ease … which means you don’t need to worry overly about exact and precise sizing.

✿ INSTRUCTIONS ✿
This is a GRAPH & written Colour Count for the Wassily01 Boxy Japanese Jacket. The pattern is designed to be worked in C2C (Corner to Corner) or LC2C (Linked C2C) crochet.
You are buying a PDF Digital download. (1 pdf)

After payment, you will receive an email with the link for download.

Note: The graphs are specially designed for C2C crochet – it incorporates the diagonal lines that are so useful for C2C graphed work. I have worked this in No-Hole Linked C2C (LC2C) crochet method but you can also use standard C2C.
While you can use my graphed designs for a variety of craft projects, if you do use them for your C2C project, please note that these graphs and notes are not meant as a tutorial on how to do C2C crochet. I assume that you already know how to work C2C crochet.

Links to relevant tutorials are included in the document:

  • how crochet C2C and Linked C2C tutorials
  • how to do the Raised-Chains crochet join, the Overlay Mosaic Crochet (used in the sleeve bands and Front-Neck bands), create straight diagonal edges in C2C
  • link to the detailed blog post for this Wassily01 Jacket - it will virtually walk you through the entire project from beginning to end.
