This pattern creates a stylish slouchy beanie using worsted weight yarn and a size J crochet hook. The ribbed band of the hat is created first using short rows and then the body of the hat is crocheted in the round. The stitches used are chain, single crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet, single crochet two together and slip stitch. The finished slouchy beanie will measure approximately 10 inches from the top of the hat to the edge. The hat should fit a head circumference between 19” and 23”. Caron Simply Soft yarn works well for this hat.
