About the design:
This cowl is named after a history park in the tiny town of Scottsville, VA. The park features exhibits depicting the transportation history of Scottsville from the era of the Native American Monacan canoes to today. It is built on the original site of the James River and Kanawha Canal Basin, and emphasizes the history of the canals and locks and of the packet boats that utilized them.

The spiral cables in this design echo the James’ current and eddies, while the stranded motifs depict the many packages of goods that have been transported on this body of water over the centuries. The cowl is knit in a springy superwash merino DK weight yarn, making it a toasty addition to your winter wardrobe as you perhaps transport packages to and from your home. (No packet boat required!)
