Feminine, flattering and worked from the neck down and in one piece, the empire waist is defined with a reverse stocking stitch ridge that gives way to a soft gather and decorative increase stitches in the body. The same technique is used to create the graceful, bell shaped, sleeves. Since it’s knit from the top down, you can easily determine your favorite length by trying it on as it grows.

Worked in worsted weight yarn, the Cape Cod Cardigan knits up quickly enough that you might consider making it in more than one color!
