Bardan Car-Seat Blanket - The blanket that grows with your child!

This blanket was designed for car-seats, and has two slots for the straps and buckle. Made with big loose cables, it will keep any child covered up, therefore cozy and warm! It is long enough to keep up with your growing toddler (see photo), especially as the top portion may be unbuttoned and unfolded to give maximum warmth for little chests and shoulders. The yarn used is soft and light, yet will keep your little one nice and toasty. Bardan (pronounced Bar-dawn) is an Irish name which means “from the poet’s valley”.

I read recently that a lot of coats for babies and toddlers are too puffy to be safe in a car seat as the child is not restrained adequately - so a soft and warm blanket does the trick!

I’ve talked to mothers and grandmothers who transport little ones in their cars, and they said they would like to see a soft and warm blanket which they could use on the car set - the main problem seemed to be that tiny legs keep kicking blankets off onto the car floor, so I made this with a section for the car-seat buckle.
