Skill Level: Intermediate, due to cabling and construction
Materials: Approx. 250 yards (230m) of sport weight yarn. The gloves pictured are a size Extra-large, and used approx. 240 yards of Cardiff Cashmere Classic
Needles: US3 (3.25mm) suitable for circular knitting (A very small circular needle would be possible for the hand, but DPNs or magic loop knitting will be necessary for the fingers)
Tools: A cable needle, if necessary, tape measure, multiple stitch holders (or safety pins), scissors, and a tapestry needle
Gauge: 27 stitches and 40 rows/rounds per 4 inches or 10cm in stockinette stitch.
Sizing: Small (Medium, Large, Extra-large) sizes measure approximately 7(7.5,8,8.5) inches in circumference when slightly stretched over the hand. The remainder is adjustable to fit.
Note on sizing: I strongly recommend having the hand that will wear the gloves “handy” as trying on as you knit will be helpful in determining exact size.
