Always swatch before beginning to ensure you are happy with the resulting fabric.

PATTERN NOTES
Skill Level: Intermediate

Sizing: This #SizeInclusive cardigan is written in nine sizes as follows: XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). Make sure to follow the numbers for your size only.
* View full sizing chart on next page

Stitch Counts: Stitch counts are listed after each row/rnd in italics. If no stitch count is given, there has been no change since the previous row/rnd. If only one number is provided, it applies to all sizes.

  • An “x” indicates that particular instruction does not apply to your size.
  • There are several Stitch Count Checkpoints along the way to help ensure you are on the right track before proceeding to the next section.

Turning Chain: The turning chain does not count as a stitch anywhere in this pattern.

Construction: This cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan shaping. You will work the specified increases until reaching your yoke depth, then separate your work to create space for the sleeves and body. The body is worked next with post stitch ribbing along the bottom hem, then the collar is worked with short-rows and optional buttonholes. Lastly, you will crochet the sleeves which taper and have matching post stitch ribbing on the cuffs.

Adjusting Length: To adjust the length, simply continue crocheting the body to your desired length before ribbing.

Buttons: The optional 4-5 buttons included in the Notions section are not shown in the sample photos since the Lion Brand kit does not come with buttons.
* Tip – the thrift store is a great place to find unique buttons for a fraction of the price!
