I have friends in high places. Perhaps that’s an exaggeration but I have met both Cat Bordhi and Barbara Walker in person. More importantly, however, I have access to both of their creative minds through their books. In this project, I’ve combined a stitch pattern from Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury and Cat Bordhi’s moebius cast on, with my own blocking twist and a strand of metallic thread on the border, to create this unique shawl-collar scarf. Where does Alaska fit in? While knitting this, I was envisioning the movement of the waves on the water and the feel of the cruise ships gently swaying and rocking me to sleep each night after a full day of knitting, exploring, and drinking chocolate alcoholic beverages! This lightweight scarf would be a perfect addition to your cruise wardrobe.
