Colour gets playful in the gorgeous interplay of textural stitches and hints of lace. This sideways asymmetrical shawl captivates the knitter, allowing the imagination to come forth in both hue and form, for the perfect beginner lace project.

This shawl is worked sideways from point to long edge, increasing gradually on one side. The pattern, with the gauge and yarn listed, uses up all of the yarn. Matching your washed and blocked finished gauge to the pattern is crucial in matching yardage. Changes to gauge will affect the amount of yardage used, so adjust this in your planning.

We have a couple of video tutorials on our SweetGeorgia YouTube channel for you, too: Weaving in ends as you knit, Alternating yarns, and Elastic Bind Off.
