Chal Esperanza
Esperanza is a triangular shawl decorated with a very original lace and an easy but colorful lace edge. Its name has a beautiful story related to its color, reminiscent of the almond trees in bloom in the month of February.
This shawl is a collaboration with @knitting_booh, she dyed the skein thinking about the month of February a few years ago.
She had been in the hospital for several months because of a high-risk pregnancy. When she left the hospital with her daughter in her arms and seeing the almond trees in bloom, it was a kind of “rebirth” that filled her with hope (this is the meaning of Esperanza). That’s why she loves the month of February, the month in which we are going to release the pattern, matching with the Madrid yarn festival (Love Yarn Madrid).
It starts with an i-cord from which one the stitches are collected to knit the lace that will go on two of the sides of the shawl. Afterwards, increases are created every two rows and at the same time you knit the easy lace of the body. It can be done with any yarn and take advantage of almost every last meter, because I give you the instructions to know when you have to start decreasing.
