Chanticleer is my response to the dreary and grey winter months. I was dying for some earthy warmth and colour! Chanticleer is a slouchy tam-like hat that fits a variety of head (and hair!) sizes. I love that the extra slouch allows me to comfortably tuck my hair up into the hat during rain-showers (or particularly cold days).

Knit bottom up, Chanticleer is a relatively fast and satisfying project. A repeating colourwork chart is worked throughout with straightforward decreases at the crown. The stranded colourwork is perfect for using up project leftovers and for adding colour and joy to your day.
